Want to share your event with the world? We’ve got you covered!
Congratulations! You’ve taken the first step toward planning the event of your dreams. Now it’s time to share your event like a pro!!
Share your event with friends and family using these tips, and you are sure to make your friends jealous of your perfect party.
1. Share your event on Facebook / Instagram
You are planning a really special day either for yourself, your children, or your family. Now is the time to share that experience with your social network. Announce it to all your Facebook / Instagram friends that your event is coming up. Your social network is one of your most powerful tools of communication.
For a heartfelt and detailed message use something like:
Friends and family on Facebook, I invite you to visit my event page to learn about the progress and details of my [event]! I’m so excited to share this special day with you. If anyone of you wants to be a part of my event, you can do so by viewing the full event page. There you will find options of how to participate. Thank you in advance for watching the progress of my event, and I hope to see you soon!
For a shortened version use:
We are so excited to share [my /our daughter’s/ [event] with you. Take a look at our event page for event details, photos, and our planning progress. If you’d like to participate as a padrino / madrina, there are the items listed. Thank you!
2. Text your friends and family the event link
These days pretty much everyone has a phone, even your lovely abuelita. She or some of your other family members may not have a Facebook account, or check it very often. Texting is always an option, and may feel a little more personal to some of the most special people in your life.
You could also start with a phone call to share the big news, and text them the event page after. Maybe you already have a planning squad in mind that you want to announce the big news over a group text. Whatever way you want to share the good news, a text can be the quick way to share with all of your contacts.
3. Post status updates
Maybe you don’t know the exact location of your event yet. That’s ok! Get your event page started with images and list out party items you know you’ll need. Sending regular updates on Facebook or other social sites will help keep your family in the loop.
Include fun images of your dress shopping day, venue visits, or ask the group what they think about your makeup plan. Your event page also has an area for Facebook comments to get suggestions from family.
In this digital age, it is important that we remember to celebrate our long-standing traditions. We don’t want to forget to involve our friends and family all over the world to participate in the celebration. It is easy now more than ever to give details about your special day. Utilize the technology around you with phones and social media to get all your family involved.
